    Menace might be my favorite movie

    but Boyz N Da Hood was beyond goat.

    both movies showed how LA life style is and how tragic it can be...and how someone like Ricky who played ball and wasnt involved in gangs gets gunned down just because he got bumped and talked back....

    And Cain a young hustler getting down...robbing,killin,and just living life then gets shot for whipping dudes ass...



    So imma take my time with this vote.

    Menace To Society was the ? .

    Boyz n The Hood was alright, but the gang member everyone is scared of.. the one with the perm. Couldnt find it believable. im sure that was the style back then, but intimidated by that just doesnt work for me no matter the size of the gun.

    Boyz N Da Hood was a great drama, even for someone who doesn't really understand hood life this movie is a great depiction and it also has a good story line and a climactic ending.

    Menace also has the same type of ending in a sense, the movie is grittier and more violent overall, one thing I like about both of these movies is how it shows you how laid back the westcoast can be and in a heartbeat some ? can ? off.

    the better movie overall BNDH

    Boyz n the Hood is easily the better movie. Menace always seemed kinda "Forced" to me... you can tell that the makers of "Menace" tried to out-do "Boyz n the Hood".

    gotta go wit Menace on this one.....Boyz is classic but Menace was just grittier and more memorable imo....

    O Dog, Caine, A Wax (tha wax boi), Pernell, & Chauncey were all goat characters and everybody knows one of each and can relate.....

    "boyz" was more on a story telling, eye opener, stay in school kinda tip imo...still love it but it aint ? wit menace

    To me, the main characters wanted more out of life.

    O-Dog was a ? up, an Caine just kept on making ? up decisions.

    Doughboy didn't have the support system Caine had (whose grandparents and others around him, always urged him to get his life in order). It seemed like Dough's mother hated him since birth, so in some instances it's understandable why he had the resentment he had towards Ricky.

    Simply because Cain didn't make it. Boyz drop knowledge but M2S did too...and the fact Cain didn't survive, hit a little bit harder for an ending than reading what happens to the characters on Boyz.

    what it came down to for me....Cain didnt make it and that lil ? he said at the end kinda ficked me up when i watched it
