Old track but still cool. Apart from @BlackGerald and a few lurkers most won't understand everything but they appreciate the riddim. Kinda like a Brazilian track. -

Yeah...But let him tell it...He admits his dad was rich, and that he was paying for his school...But he says when it comes to music, he hasn't spent any of his dad's money... -

Pics? I'm not that a pic person though, no FB or Twitter accounts .. . I'm chilling mostly with fam (siblings and folk) alongside friends
But when you hitting homebase playa? You need to head over I tell ya, it's kinda a release from the slave mentality of the West. Pop over here and the ? are all over your feet plus the exchange rate with the dollars.
it's always fun down here one way or the other .. .

Gotta rep for my African brothers. Start off with a classic. This joint came out more than a decade ago. It's about a guy getting played by his gf. When he's balling she wants him back but he's saying he's not gonna be a fool the second time around.
Magic Systeme - 1er Gaou
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RJMpeYwifEU
P Square - Ifunanya
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1awK-vMHPkI
To my Igbo brothers. What does Ifunanya mean? -
I asked my dad...He don't know what "Ifunanya" actually means...Just that it's a popular female name...

@A1000MILES & @BlackGerald the language is Sranang Tongo, not taki taki. Taki taki is white people used to call the language. It's considered derogatary in Surinam. It literally means "talk talk" because I guess these white folks felt blacks talked too much or something.

Ok my father's from there and I speak it as well and that term has been out of use for a while now. It's similar to how African Americans stopped using the term coloured to describe themselves.
Off topic It's coincidental you're of Aruban and Surinamese descent and I'm of Antillian and Surinamese descent. -

I'm a big Afro Beat fan myself and I got a decent amount of Fela, Femi, Seun Kuti and Angelic Kidjo on my Ipod. I like Antibalas also but don't have a lot of there stuff yet but I like this joint here along with many others.
