And future legend....

Her debut album "The Arch Andriod:Suites II & III" is already being herald as a classic. It's the #1 highest rated album halfway through the year. It's the 16th highest rated album of all time so far.

She just got off tour with Erykah Badu, a legend, and she's beginning her own tour co-headlining with Of Montreal. Nobody is ? with her musically.

Beyonce? LOL
Rihanna? Hehe
Fefe Dobson? Who

Nicki Minaj wanna be a singer? Autotune is her friend.

Let's give it up to Janelle Monae. The best female artist in the game!

Yes I have. I went to see Erykah Badu in May and Janelle was an opening act. She killed it.

Basically he wants to wait till neighborhood hoodrats ? her.

    Beyonce style.

This is why you're better off ignoring him.

She is still is kind of different from what I'm use to listening to but I like her. I just don't see her changing her style to reach the masses.

Well, when Lauryn Hill came out,,,EVERYONE took notice. I don't ever see Monae being as big as Hill was and could've been.

At first she was too weird for me, but after i saw how entertaining her performance@ the BET awards were, i liked her. she's like the female version of Andre 3000 imo.

she's still new, i wouldn't say she's the best in the game just yet. i wish her the best.

All it takes is that one smash hit single & good timing... how many people predicted Lauryn would make it as big when Blunted on Reality dropped?

The masses really didn't catch on to Lauryn Hill until 3 singles deep into the 2nd Fugees album. Even with that said, Lauryn had a nice head start with "Killing Me Softly" (The Score in general) - so by the time her solo album, she had already been a household name.

Haven;t heard the new album other than Tight Rope but I have Metropolis Suite I of IV: The Chase and heard her all over Idlewild and other Kast projects... How would you put this in comparison and how would you describe it sonically??? Yeah, she killed it at the BET Awards. Is this album for sale in retail stores cause I'm not much of an itunes buyer.. prefer the physical copy.

Yes you can get it at Best Buy, Target, etc. But my question for you is....

Are you prepared to feel emotions you haven't felt in some time buttuh_b?

Her debut album is 100% Janelle Monae unlike her collaborations with other artists. If you enjoyed Metropolis you will most definitely enjoy The Arch Android. It is a concept album, the album is very cohesive from start to finish. Go out and support brother.

Just for the sake of my snoopiness and not for inquiry purposes - What would you say that Janelle Monae has that Nicki Minaj doesn't?

Talent, singing ability, dancing ability and a lack of ass. (smh) Also that lack of dress game is kinda irking. That ? ain't wavy no matter how "euro chic" she pass it off as.
O lawd - not you too!!

He's inheriting the south whenever Gucci done with it.

And you gonna insult the man when he in jail.
