Have Well-Known Posters' Accts Been Compromised?

Has anyone else noticed one or two "well known" posters seeming a bit off the past few weeks?
Like they stopped posting for a bit and when they "came back" it was someone else using the account, attempting to mimic their personality/posting style?
I know for a fact I'm not the only one who has picked up on some the subtle differences (as I've seen it mentioned before) so I'm going to let the discussion go on a little before I name names and steer the thread in one direction.

the same few people are responsible for about 25 different accounts...i just assume they forgot what name they were posting under at the time

Its just "off."
Things like giving serious replies where they normally wouldn't, engaging others in a different manner, recycling old posts and "gimmicks" (for lack of a better word) in an attempt to seem authentic.
Imma post names in a bit if no one else seems to be on the same page as me, but I've seen it mentioned before so I don't want it to seem like this is solely my own perception. -
...and Pico was not one of the people I was referring to, but I'll keep an eye on that (although the new pics she's posted recently would obviously exclude her imo)

Both accts I'm talking about are in the 5-digit post range, and are posters who I never skipped over responses from even if I skimmed past entire pages of a thread.
I feel as though I know their "posting style" enough, and its been noticeable to the point I decided to make a thread to see if others picked it up as well. -
