Yo, 98 was that year! The last great year in the 90s and mad classics coming from everywhere. It was also a great year for entertainment, too.
-
Flesh of my Flesh, Blood of my Blood.Flesh of My Flesh stayed on rotation for two years straight. Used to listen to that album front to back and it's probably the only reason I wasn't locked up at that point.

AqueminiI like or love every album up there mostly but I think kast stayed in my CD player the longest
they got critical and commercial success and Liberation is classic.
This was a perfect album straight up
Rasassination came out that yr too,I liked that album -

The best years for Hip-Hop from the 90s imo.. I made a similar thread about the year of 1996 back in 2011.. I may have to recreate that thread soon.. -

Best album from 96 for me has to be "The Score". Lauryn blacked out on that ? & it STILL bangs.. 90's had that good ? . -

AqueminiDamn, it's almost a tie between Capital Punishment, IDaHiH, and Aquemini. I'm going to say Aquemini edges the other two out, but man what a monster year for Hip Hop. You know it was good when an album as great as Still Standing doesn't really even get mentioned in this topic.
And after looking through all the other years on that site, I realize I never cease to be amazed by how good Hip Hop was in the 90s. -
400 Degreez.I was a huge Cash Money fan back then....so I wont front like I was a huge fan of anyone else at that time....

Without seeing the poll I say DMX!

My dad played DMX crazy. he was already a street ? so when he turned that ? on he was hype as ? . X had ? thinking they was invincible. my dad got shot at a bar ? with another ? chick. drove to hospital blasting "bring your whole crew" got out and played "Prayer II". he said that album got him through that.
