IN 2013- BAR FOR BAR: Jay-Z or Drake?

Started from the bottom bar for bar isn't better than ? from MCHG. His verse on Versace aint better than some of Jays verses this year either.

    Bruh......... None of his verses on MCHG were live like that. Lyrically, this is Jay's weakest album by far.

    We bout to see how many people have ? and moaned about JayZ only talking about his money but didnt notice he talks about his family, and how he deals with and feels about fame and people's expectations the whole album now that he has a daughter.

    We see who looking for obvious in your face punchlines instead of respect the story/point and double entendres you only catch when you listen to the album a couple times.

    DRAKE is actually very talented. Dude has skills and a good album. BUt he aint ? wit Jigga at all. AT.ALL.

    Wow...I thought it was one of his best albums. Kingdom Come and Blueprint 3 were MEH...but Magna Carta i can listen to all the way through.

    Don't do this dog. So in order to have content you have to drop your skill level?? That means you were never that great of an artist to begin with. On top of that, I would give him more of a pass for his decline in abilities if he actually executed those topics you touched on better. Many times, he reverted right back to that money talk mid verse.

    Dude is talented and I have no problem admitting that but no way is Drake seeing Jay even in 2013.
    Drakes greatest strength is creating and crafting entertaining songs not lyrical ability.

    Damn mobile accidentally clicked submit comment. But either way, the high points for Jay are very scattered right now. He has gems but they're few and far between. Like he'll have 4 or 6 hot bars in his verses and the rest will be a struggle, subpar or mediocre. Drake's verses are consistently strong. I don't see how people don't see it.

    Drake ain't a heavyweight lyricist all time but right now he's one of the nicest non backpack Royce da 5'9 type cats out when it comes to lyrics.

    Outside of 5 am the rest of drake bars been mundane and lyrically and not better than ? on MCHG. Jay's latest album isn't his best but the metahpors and wordplay is on another level compaired to started from the bottom or Versace and so on.
