In the past 3-4 years I've played far more PS1/PS2 games than I every have for the 360 or Ps3.

I agree. The quality seems to drop from 6th gen to the 7th.
I hope it gets better. -

Yeah. And had originality, too. Now every game is a shooter.

The old games are better contentwise, but it is tough going back to old school graphics after being spoiled on the new ? .

Some games are timeless though. We ain't talking about Atari out here,

I feel you, but the difference is still huge. FF7 came out and seriously compare that ? to FFXIII-2. The difference is crazy.

Now I loved FF7 and didn't even deem FFXIII-2 worth playing, but the difference between the two is like Da Vinci and kindergarten art project.

Not the only one.
I find myself enjoying the older games too.

It takes me forever to play and beat these new generation games, not sure what it is, thought maybe I am getting older and just don't care to play anymore...
Then I got my Vita and played through, Dino Crisis 1& 2, RE 2 & 3, Final Fantasy Tactics in no time.

Ive been borrowing a friends PS3 lately and ive kept my Final Fantasy 7 with me since i got that game for christmas when i was like 7 years old. Been playing that for a minute, just got on disc 2. But thats prolly the only older game ive been playing. I wish i would have kept my old ps1 and ps2 games around tho.

Took me about 8 years to beat DK64. Got stuck getting that coin you get from playing old school donkey kong.
