In a recent interview with BlazBlue series producer, Toshimichi Mori, he mentioned that Arc System Works is looking to create a new fighting game for PlayStation 4. Mori states that both the Guilty Gear and BlazBlue series were created for their respective upcoming consoles at the time and they hope to do the same for PS4.
Below is what Toshimichi Mori had to say on the matter.
We can't give you a definite title yet, but we want to make one. We actually made Guilty Gear targeting the Dreamcast, and we started creating BlazBlue around the time of the PS3 release, so we want to make a game for PS4 when the system releases. Creating new things at the turning point of time is who Arc System Works is, so we would like to take it on.
What would you most like to see from Arc System Works once the PlayStation 4 drops? Let us know in the comments below.

This ? was a little ahead of it's time. If it had came out a few years later when fighting games made that big comeback this ? would have popped. Not a fan of Blazeblue -
Lets hope its actually good

I guess its gonna be another new franchise instead of Guilty Gear or BlazBlue
-
3D character models
No more sprites. -

Dont see that happening all they make are 2d games, I do agree they should take advantage of the hardware though, maybe have more stuff happening on screen or really nice 3d backgrounds.
MVC2 made 2d sprites with 3d backgrounds work on Dreamcast

Animation is actually a lot harder to do than 3D models. As far as fighting games go there is no comparison 2D sprites just work better. Sf4 feels so stiff.
