You gotta be pretty irrelevant to just get left as a Sergeant. Dude was prolly gettin high somewhere and missed the helicopter...
-
there's quite a difference between someone who consciously "preferred" to stay
and someone who was left behind/forgetton -
John Robertson is one plain ass name. Only thing more plain than that is Bob Smith.

His subordinates prolly hated him, on some "Aye bruh, don't wake him up when our ride gets here, all he gonna do is ? up the trip"
-
Dat ? was to busy on dat ? and Vietnamese ?

Dat ? was to busy on dat ? and Vietnamese ?
I'm on that good ? and viatnamese ?
Got some down ? in saigon
I got left behind by my country (country)
but I'm all good as long as my vietnam ? love me (vietnam ? love me)

How do you not remember your native tongue? Was there something that happen to him?
-
Without readin im bettin there's some 'Nam ? behind this, but lemme read it first...
edit: That wasnt army lingo. By 'Nam ? I mean a Vietnamese woman. -
That's a damn shame...44 years is a lifetime. I do believe they often rather just tell families that the guy is dead than to keep looking and never find him.

Isnt there a movie like this a squad gets left behind while the war ends but they dont know so they go around killing ?
Inb4 tarantino steals my idea -
If I just so happen to get left in Brazil (Rio) don't come looking for me......matter of fact I might miss my flight on purpose.

I'm pretty sure the brain will put the information 'in the trash,' so to speak to make room for the new language, as the old one goes unused. i think i read that somewhere. but even if not, it's pretty easy to forget a language, native or non-native, when you have nobody to speak it to. -

lol @ being "found" as if anyone was actually looking for him.

i'm guessing his firs statement was something like "? ... you found me."
