Black Ops 1 was the best COD followed close by MW2. MW3 was the worst COD ever

MW1 is still the best one to me. too bad it's virtually unplayable on ps3 due to the hackers.

I'm good. The series got burnt out for me. MW3 I played just for the story to complete it. BO has always been the preferred COD for me anyways. If I get any FPS imma get Battlefield from now on

Activision could've kept that live stream today. Call of Duty Ghosts lookin wack as ? , just like Modern Warfare 3 was. Infinity Ward might be done.

just got back from preordering the last of us at gamestop. all I seen in there where 8-12 year olds with their mommy preordering cod ghost

they lied to the people again this isn't a new engine.
Official Playstation Magazine UK spoke to Infinity Ward Animation Lead Zack Volker about the process behind upgrading an engine vs. building a new one from scratch:
“As we develop and we add features, at what point does it become a new engine? Because it’s impossible to develop a new engine from the ground up in a two year cycle. You would need an army of 200 engineers. So what we do is we say ‘okay what are the things that are significant and that we would say that are encompassing of the engine or its visual quality? Are those being upgraded in a significant way? Alright then, I think that warrants that we’ve got a new engine on our hands.”
He goes on to use an example of how much effort it might take to add 3D swirling smoke around a character that parts as he passes through it. Is it worth spending a zillion man hours building that sort of system when its an effect that wouldn’t even be noticed by players? Does that really help the game? Probably not. He goes on to explain what they have done instead.
“When we’re talking about a new engine we’re talking about upgrading significant systems within in that engine. We’re not talking about throwing it all away and saying we’re starting from the ground up. It comes down to the systems we’re augmenting and upgrading, and trying to decide what is the significance of this upgrade. So there is certainly going to be remnants here and there of our pieces of our last engine, where it was appropriate when, you know what, this doesn’t need any changing. It’s good the way it is. Because at Infinity Ward we make a really clear point to make sure we only upgrade the things that are necessary for driving the things and the gameplay experience we want to push for that project.”
