'Tomb Raider': Lara Croft hairstyle now in salons
Tomb Raider fans can achieve Lara Croft's signature hairstyle at HOB salons across the country.
Following the success of this year's Tomb Raider reboot, all of HOB's salons in London, Hertfordshire and Leeds will now offer "The Lara".
"The new Lara Croft has featured heavily on advertising all across London, most notably on the buses, and we saw that her style has become much more natural, with that signature ponytail barely containing her gorgeous, brunette locks," said HOB's Claire Atkinson.
"Clearly she's made quite an impact as we've had customers asking us in the salons to replicate the Lara look, especially with the looseness of this ponytail being a perfect style for the festival season.
"A lot of people draw inspiration from fictional characters, but we think this is definitely the first time we've ever produced a style based on a computer game character."
Instructions on how to achieve "The Lara" have since been sent out to stylists in HOB's 24 salons.
Released in March on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, the new Tomb Raider is an origin story.
Lara Croft finds herself shipwrecked on a hostile island in a story that shapes her into the heroine seen in the original games.
The game was recently declared a sales flop by Square Enix, despite having the biggest launch sales of any game in the franchise.
