Buckshot puts on a good show. I still got it on videotape from the mid '90's (1 of my boys knew the promoter that taped it), Wu-tang, Blackmoon, Smif n Wessun, & Ruck (for whatever reason, Rock wasn't there). Wu-tang just did album tracks, but Buck also freestyled over other rappers beats. Evil Dee also did sum hot turntable tricks.
*On a side-note: ODB dissed King Just outta nowhere. Even Ghost was standing there frozen on the stage, lookin shocked @ ODB trippin. -
We were out to sea in the Persian Gulf when "Who Got Da Props" dropped. Somebody wife had taped Rap City and sent them out to us, man when that ? came on ? lost it. We found the single overseas.

They were performing Protect Ya Neck. Then at the end of the song, they just had the instrumental riding out. Out of the blue, the crowd starts going, "Hey ya, Hey ya, Hey ya ? ! (from King Just's, Warriors Drum)", in unison to the protect ya neck beat.
Not only was nobody else from wu-tang offended, but Raekwon was actually up front, waving the crowd on, pumping his fist. ODB looked ? at the crowd though, then he just angrily started yelling on the mic to the crowd,"Stop it!, Stop that ? !, them ? ain't down with us!!!, what the ? !!". The beat stopped, and the crowd stopped chanting immediately. GZA had to tug ODB from behind on the shoulder to snap him outta his rage.
But I hear what u sayin. Funny thing is, King Just is a part of U-? 's Hillside Scrambler Crew. And he mentioned he was cool with Deck back in the day. -

ODB was known for Wildin' though, I'm sure u heard stories of him being ? and punching Akinyele or Black Thought after trying to take the mic from them during they're performances.

Great thread. BCC was one of my favourite clicks in the 90ties. I think Enta da Stage was kinda the bridge between oldschool and new school or the golden age as some call it. Enta da Stage was like a new sound back then. NY albums released after Enta da Stage sounded different. Used to mess with that album heavy. I own alot of BCC albums from the 90ties but Nocturnal was my fav album. The chemistry between Rock and Ruck was crazy. That joint lacked a cohesive theme and on the majority of the album they were trading verses, spitting battle raps but that album is still a personal classic to me. Rockness Monstah was my favorite emcee out of that click. I'm about to dust that cd off and pop it in again IDGAF.

I would buy Black Moon's 12 inch singles because they always had a crazy "B" side....Murder MC's and Buck 'Em Down remix come to mind

Wu Tang (Enter the Wu-Tang), Onyx (Bacdafucup), and M.O.P. (How About Some ? single) came out around the same time as Enta Da Stage in 93. Red-Man had "Wut? The album" in 92. The sound was changing regardless but I'm not sure who was responsible. -
Sean Price that nikkuh

They seen as wu tang lite ..they marketed themselves poorly.

The only thing bad I can say about boot camp is there group albums were mediocre at best, WU came out with a timeless classic and followed up with another double one, Boot camp never came together and dropped that timeless album, and you would think after all the individual groups you can argue dropped a debut classic (Enta da stage, knocturnal, da shinin, da storm) that the group album would be just as fire, their best group album came out in 06 IMO which flies under the radar, only, never seen it talked about on this website but was one of the better albums that year

What did you guys think about Reprezentatiz?

Im still trippin
RIP Ruck
