Old heads= 30 and up
How many have y'all just realized, that todays hip hop just isn't for you...and are ok with that? Not that it's so much worse, the rappers suck... but that it just wasn't meant for your demographic in this climate.
The majority of y'all seem like you're ok with staying in your lane...and don't worry about what's hot now, cause you're fine with being stuck in the mid 90s.
Just looking to see when y'all came to terms with this, and do y'all still purchase new music from the older rappers, or are y'all just bumping that old ? ?
And miss me with that "back in my day, hip hop wasn't ? " ....cause your era is notorious for how many closeted homos it had....and y'all had Biggie.

todays rap aint for todays people.
the ABC lyrics and bouncy beats makes 3-4 year olds dance and repeat it.
you have songs that have the same beats, songs with wack lyrics and shows with no production.
this whole era is weak and lazy with little to no creativity yet want to brag about the new ? .
i rather listen to rap instrumentals now than anything -

I'm not a old head but I would understand why they wouldn't ? with most of the newer artist. Most of it is trash, and only a means to be rich. The art form is gone.

I don't think there is anything to "accept". You have good music and you have bad music. Of course, what is considered good or bad is all a matter of opinion and preference. In my humble opinion...a lot of today's music is just wack. It's not that there wasn't plenty of wack ? 10+ years ago. I just think the overall amount of wackness has increased substantially for a number of reasons which I don't care to rehash.

Damn, ? is grimey -
Im 28 turning 29 in a couple months...majority of today newer hiphop artist are ? wack to me.
-
If it sounds good i will bump it. My catalog is diverse like a ? .
-
I only judge Hip Hop as Nice or Whack. The time period doesn't matter. Is it unfortunate that the most popular MC's of today can't hold a candle to the MC's that came before them? Yes but such is life.

I always tell the older cats that diss hip hop today that they're missing out on some good stuff. It's not golden era stuff, but it's still enjoyable. And being the ? that was always the baby in a crew of older cats, I'm a borderline old head myself, but I still can appreciate some of the music that's out now. Not saying there isn't an abundance of wackness now, but at least it's at 60/40 rather than 70/30 like it was in the mid 2000s.

Im in my 30s but still get carded. I never been on that. If I like it , I like it. I be on that Future, and all the rest. If its snappin. A lot of the people on here just frontin anyway cause they know more about the "new" artists than i do. And I freely admit i listen to it. Life still fun and good to me. I aint bitter. Fck that.

some new rap is good (schoolboy q, logic, kendrick) but most of it is trash tbh....so it's not about it passing me, it's more about it just not being all that good....most of it sounds the same with the same flow and lack of concepts
