I run my own business so i don't give a ? about you broke ? . If no one is giving you a job, go out and create one.

I swear you guys can conspire and expose an internet poster's nudes like you're Ocean's Eleven, so use that same brain to create a venture.

You should give a ? though. If your customers have no form of income they stop coming to whatever your business is.

    It's all a chain.

    This

People dont think about the future

I deal with digital media, so my customer base is huge. And "wealth" hasn't gone anywhere, there's a gripload of money floating around. There really is no "chain" actually. The job market is a wrap people. But the time has never been better to start your own business.

since you have your own business you you should offer one of these unemployed ? a job instead of calling them broke ? .
I have no employees. I hire people freelance, and outsource tasks I can't handle. I pull down 5 figures a month working 3 hours a day. Like I said, people need to use the Internet for more things than just checking their FB or watching porn. There's major money floating around, and it costs very little to jump in.

There's too much ? being made in china and other places that could be made here.

Not for the same price though.

    ? 's ridiculous.

The bare minimum over here isn't even close to how little they get paid overseas.

$300-$400/week over here may not seem like a whole lot, but that same job overseas would probably be less than $50 per month.

Threads like this depress my unemployed ass.

And 30k is the threshhold between poor and middle class? I always thought if someone was making more than like 25k they were rich as ? . Damn my mom didn't even clear the 20k mark when she was an E.A I think.

Hopefully most of em are the damn baby boomers that have been keeping us youngins from getting our jobs. They been taking up space and working for too damn long. It's time for us to take over the workforce now.

This is the main problem. Baby boomers need to get the ? out but a lot of them didn't save their money or know how to use it. They could be in debt, helping children with college or just bored which is why they're still working.

About missing a paycheck or two from being poor, that means you didn't save your 3-6 months of living expenses!

While this is true for a lot of folks currently, the story says this :

In a sign of our part-time recovery, four out of every five American adults face joblessness or poverty at some point during their lives

I was Jobless for a year and a half when I got out of the Army. Im doing pretty good right now although I fit the category of "some point in their lives".

This is what i don't understand. Unemployment is so high yet every job has a 30 page assessment on the application. Why make it so hard for people to get menial jobs when you know they need it? And i use to think the assessments weren't that important but apparently they are. They can make or break u as far as getting the job. Walmart's is so stupid i can't even begin to tell u.

It's as dumb as putting requirements for degrees plus a certain amount of years experience. I've seen job postings go up asking for an undergrad or grad degree with 3+ years of experience...for recent grads. Some companies are just trying to set ? up to be as hard as possible

A lot of (probably most) people just think about the short term. Keep up with the Jones, Drop everything to get with whatever female comes their way with no restraint, make babies, etc., etc. Very few actually play a winning game which takes discipline, patience, and work. Even then, you gon have your real challenges.

In a sign of our part-time recovery, four out of every five American adults face joblessness or poverty at some point during their lives.

The survey, released exclusively by the Associated Press, found that America's recession has widened the gap between the rich and poor and increased hardship among whites, who report their highest levels of pessimism about the future since 1987.

Disparity in income, which used to break starkly on racial lines, has narrowed between whites and minorities as more of the middle class has been pushed into the service industry or been forced to take part-time positions.

"It's time that America comes to understand that many of the nation's biggest disparities, from education and life expectancy to poverty, are increasingly due to economic class position," William Julius Wilson, the renowned Harvard professor who specializes on race and the economy, told the AP.

Over the past decade, the study found that the largest losses in wealth have been among working class whites. Prospects for minorities, as always, are not very good, either.

That would explain why I'm Poor and Destitute

People aren't broke because of poor decisions. People are broke because the economy tanked.

They pretty much gonna croak before they let go of their jobs. America is such a joke in the 21st century with the money so tight for over 80% of the population.

Nothing worst then having car problems and calling AllState for a service and getting a person from India to set it up for you.

I live America but a ? from India with the woat accent gon call a company in America to help me with my service.

Keeping jobs here would greatly improve America. But its cheap for them to ship it out.

_Race disparities in health and education have narrowed generally since the 1960s. While residential segregation remains high, a typical black person now lives in a nonmajority black neighborhood for the first time. Previous studies have shown that wealth is a greater predictor of standardized test scores than race; the test-score gap between rich and low-income students is now nearly double the gap between blacks and whites.

? good read, things are getting worse, use to be economic wise when whites have the flu blacks have pneumonia, looks like ? converging
