Tied with Section.80. Take Care trails behind slightly as a hip hop album only due to it not having as much rap.
But anyway, whether you agree or not you gotta appreciate this album. Who would have thought Rae would put together such a fly album with ZERO RZA production and minimal Ghostface features. The album flows so perfect. It's probably one of the most cohesive albums I ever heard. The production really had you feeling like you're navigating through the terrains of China and Rae spit that classic rugged yet intricate story-telling Wu violence. In a year that was one of the worst in hip hop history, I'm glad Rae laced us with this gem. Can't wait for his next album.

I'm listening to Com's album right now. Jesus, why did Nas murder Ghetto Dreams like that for? Is that even the type of song you're supposed to murder?

Section.80 was the best album of 2011. But Rae's album is top 5:
1) Section.80
2) Undun
3) Dreamer/Believer
4) Well Done (Bronson)
5) Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang
Edit: Forgot Random Axe came out that year. Sldie that in at #4, which bumps Rae out of the top 5. -
Dreamer/Believer >>>

its close though. Shaolin vs Wu and WTT are contenders
-
Been saying this since 2011.
-
On a related note; does Raekwon have the best song titles?
-
Saigon's Greatest Story Never Told is the best Rap album of 2011 imo.. Shaolin vs Wu-Tang is the second best with Section.80 coming in at third best..
-
Undun by the roots was the best album that year
-
Section.80.....
-
Them wu tang songs got too many big words for these kids nowadays.lol.

I'm gonna roll with that one. It came out mad late in the year, and I didn't hear it until a few months into 2012, so this would've slipped right by me. But yeah, Shaolin vs Wu Tang is shittin on everything else.
LMAO @ Snoozeline Story and Watch The Gabbage. -
Dreamer the Believer>>>
Great album
arguably some of no id's best work
it's crazy how some of the best albums over the past years-mbdtf,the dreamer the believer, life is good- has been graced with his production

Damn how did I forget that album. Another great selection. I guess 11 wasn't so bad. -
Shaolin VS. Wu-Tang, Undun, The Dreamer/Believer & Section 80. I'm good!
-
Undun and The Dreamer, The Believer are great in addition to Shaolin vs. Wu Tang.
GSNT was decent but there are some skippables on it.

Damn, you can't tell I'm not checking for rap too much anymore. I've only even heard Undun, SvW, and Section.80 from that year. I copped SvW as soon as it dropped. I only heard Undun because Delta had it in their list of albums so I listened to it on my way to Cali. And I just heard Section.80 this year. That said, all three albums are good. I would check out The Dreamer/Believer, but I don't really like Common, so it would be pointless.
