You may not realize it, but you just did.
Words of wisdom from an elder: in most cases when someone refuses to answer a direct question that simply requires a yes or no answer.....the answer to the question is usually the worst case scenario.
Worst case being the answer that you're not comfortable acknowledging.
Otherwise, there wouldn't be a reason not to answer.
