That's what I heard too, then I heard Three 6 wrote some songs too. You can hear Al Kapone DNA in DJay music especially Whoop Dat Trick........I heard its a couple of scenes in the movie that was paying homage to memphis legends like the scene where DJay bought the keyboard. Honestly bruh, I don't see why would they not like it. I think I heard somebody say Terrance Howard accent wasn't Memphis enough but it's one of my personal favorite movies. I think the Memphis rap scene should've capitalized off this movie
