Want to twerk? Don’t go to Hampton University.
The school took a stance against twerking, now that it’s become a mainstream dance craze, with a lecture to freshmen students. An image from the lecture made its rounds on the internet yesterday, reading:
“1) Hampton Ladies Do Not Twerk!!!
2) Hampton Men Do Not Take Twerkers Home To Mother
3) Employers do not discriminate between twerkers and twerkees”
The image accompanies reports that Hampton University has issued a “no twerking” order to the women who attend. If they are caught twerking, they may be subject to disciplinary action.

Good riddance.
Maybe they will ban skinny jeans on men, crayola colored hair weaves, sagging pants, and few other useless things that young minded individuals tend to do. -
I think Hampton once banned dreads and braids before too.

Many of these women twerking don't know anything about the Transatlantic Slave Trade nor do many have an awareness of their cultural roots.
They just doing it because its some hip and trendy ? they saw the next female do while dancing to the last hot song.
Not a very good comparison.
If folks want to tribal "twerk" let them go take modern dance most universities especially HBCU's offer this class. -
So what does twerking do to be exact to the person and their well being except give an illusion of being a good person or whatever ? .

there is a difference between dancing ritual tribal ceremonies and just flapping your ass cheeks with half your cleavage showing. LC is right these heffers aren't paying tribute to their ancestral roots. If that was the case, they'd take that 5 pound, 200 dollar weave off their head and go natural.

Point being the dance originates towards back to ancient tribal dances, some it was eluded towards sex and sex is as condeming as it is in the west, we have the puritans to thank for that. If they finish their studies and want to twerk it out, well let them be. I can understand if that's all they did and not do their course work that their scholarships and student loans are paying for.

And who the ? are they to say twerkers can't be brought home to mothers ? Maybe they could / can't, or maybe a ? lookin' for a ? to bring home to ? and not to meet the parents. Notice the use of the word "parents" and not just "mother" - another way they ? up. -

This rule is unenforceable though. Twerking is still open to interpretation.
For example...
Picture this: Lets say a girl is late. She's running through campus, finally gets to her class but she's winded and bends over to rest her hands on her thighs to catch her breath. She notices her shoe is untied so she bend over further to tie it. As she bends over further her pen falls out of her ear and she only noticed it as she stood back up. She bends over again to pick up her pen.........SUSPENDED FOR TWERKING!

Some of the damn tribal dances were ? sexual. Some of the sexual dances were towards different goddesses and especially of fertility and sometimes and maybe the woman likes to actually dance. Is that so hard to imagine, you have this view of what blacks are suppose to be, we are suppose to be whoever we deem to be. -
