"Can you hold my bag?"

What's up with girls, whether gf or girls you ain't even hit yet, asking you to hold their bag when you're at public places. When I was younger I would actually hold the bag and look like a sucka. As I got older I had to start flatout refusing.
I noticed they never ask you to hold their bag when you're at places where there's hardly anyone around to see you holding the bag like in a vacant parking lot or on somewhere late night. It's always in a mall, a club, the movies or any other public place. If they went shopping they know how to hold multiple bags at once FOH.
I think they're asking you to hold their bag as a test and to 'mark' their territory. Like other chicks see they got you to hold their bags and walk behind them. It's similar to them 'losing' items in your car or crib.
@ The fellas. What do you do when a girl asks you to hold their bag? @ The women. Why do some of you ask a brother to hold your bag when you're out?

You're over-thinking it. It's not that serious. We don't have some complex power struggle scheme in mind. If we need the use of both hands or arms, we'll ask the person we're with to hold our purse for a second. No more no less. I had no idea men took it so serious. Women certainly don't.

This is different. I'm all for being a gentleman but I think t/s is talking about walking around with it for no real reason. -

My girl carries everything. If she buys something she carriers it and if I buy something she carries it. ? it. it works for us

I guess using the strap to put it around her arm is too much hassle.
This to a lesser extent Mariah giving Nick her chewing gum to hold. -

From experience unless that is the woman who raised you, mother, grandmother, wife of 20 years, aunt and they need to do something quick and fast do not hold no woman's purse.
