Hogan winning Royal Rumble 1990. I was 6 and super excited, over 20 years later I think about how dumb it was because he was the champ at the time.

I just remember not really watching wrestling, but getting playful jumped by the older kids when at the rec center. They called themselves the 4 Horsemen. They beat us down and stomp us and I had no idea who the 4 Horsemen were. I only knew of Hulk Hogan in the WWF.
When I actually saw the Horsemen put in work, I saw where the older kids got the stable and stomping from. So getting jumped made me watch wrestling.
One of the first angles I remember was Ric Flair feuding with the Garvin's. Flair wanted Jimmy Garvin's valet, Precious, and Flair beat Jimmy for a night with her. Ron Garvin, Jimmy's older brother was next in line for a title shot at Flair, so look at this video for the entire history of the feud, or FF to 11:30 to see what happens. It's what some of the Attitude Era was built from.

Turned on the tv one Saturday morning or afternoon back in the 80's and saw some ? named Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat jump off the turnbuckle and land on some jobber. I've been hooked ever since.

OK, I vaguely remember that intro, I was in school and we didn't have access to cable. Plus I think that was around the time WCW was spanking RAW in the ratings.
