Sony Reveals HMZ-T3 Personal Viewer Headset
Options
Not to be confused with the rumoured PS4 virtual reality project.
Sony has unveiled the third generation entry in its HMZ personal viewer headset series, the HMZ-T3.
The T3 contains twin 720p OLED displays allowing 2D and stereoscopic 3D content. It'll also accept wireless 60GHz HD transmissions, while the lithium batteries will last for three-hours when used with a wireless HD connection or seven hours with HDMI.
The viewer can be used with mobile devices, as well as PCs and PlayStation 3. The downside? It's set to cost a stonking £1,300 when it launches in the UK in a few weeks.
Sony debuted the first generation HMZ a couple of years ago, before following this up with the second iteration late last year. It's important to note though that the HMZ-T3 is in no way affiliated with the rumoured VR headset the company is supposedly working on for the PlayStation 4.
Thanks, Eurogamer.

Was gonna post this in the ps4 thread, but they say its not the final model!!! -
Seems like a luxury nobody needs. Will be interested in the VR when it drops though.

So let me get this straight, this costs almost 2K and the one for the PS4 is supposed to be more advanced. Sorry, but I don't see this taking off anywhere. It's going to be a peripheral that costs more than four times the system itself. It's going to end up like M$'s IllumiRoom unless Sony has some major way of cost cutting.

? looks dope..
