    I have to ride with The Godfather. The first timeI saw that movie, it ? blew me away. the acting, the cinematography, the deep storyline. Movie is a masterpiece.

    I liked the Godfather more. Both are great movies.

    I think Casino is my all time favorite mob movie though. I just like that story a lot.

    i can't choose.

    goodfellas is my favorite movie of all time, but godfather 1 (i see pt 2 as more of a character study of michael corleone than an all out mob movie) is that ? . the relationships & the gentlemanly code they lived & conducted their business by is just...wow. goodfellas glamorized the mob life & the godfather treated it as just a normal day at the office.

    ? it i still can't choose.

    Yeah that's pretty right on. It's about the parallels between the lives of father/son or old don/new don and not so much about the family itself.

    Goodfellas.

    - better music
    - better cinematography
    - Godfather you gotta sit down n watch start to finish, Goodfellas one of those films where you can just dive in at any point
    - tells the TRUTH about The Mob. Godfather glorifies that wicked life more than any rap song. All that honor and family ? . Goodfellas tells the truth about these guys being sociopathic opportunists that ultimately wind up eating each other. Note how on The Sopranos they all worship Godfather and quote it religiously but despise the mere mention of Goodfellas. ("You watch too many movies" they tell Chris when he scared of being whacked at his Made ceremony, and don't get them started on Henry Hill that snitch)

    lol no one said it was completely true. I do remember reading Mario Puzo used plenty stories he heard through mob associate/ friends. I'm sure things were exaggerated

    There's a difference between true story and true events. Goodfellas was true story written by Henry. Godfather's inspired by true events. Bosses really thought Puzo had connects. Plus Goodfellas was made 30 years after Godfather so i could understand how people like it more. Godfather is just way more sophisticated. The book tells how Vito had almost as much political power as the president. ? GOAT

    I like GF 2 better because it shows Vito coming up and it has the out of sequence style of Pulp Fiction before Pulp fiction.

    it's like 2 movies in one and I'm a sucker for a story in a story or movie within a movie

    I understand why ppl would vote for GF 1 though
