Yes.
I have Kid Bopz in the car when it's just me and her, but if he's with us we just keep it on the radio and change it depending on the song.
-
nah, kids are too impressionable. they don't need to be listening to all that until their old enough to understand its just music and not a mandate.
-
When its me and my sons in the truck. I play what ever I want. Just me and my daughter, we bump the Fresh Beat Band! Not gonna front I know most of the songs. All kids in the truck, sports talk radio.
-
I used to ....but I don't have to anymore
His choice of music is more offensive than mine though -
smh..sons don't have little impressionable ears??????
PS - you look like a Wayans brother. -

I hear you, my sons understand not to take music literally. I talk to my kids everyday about life.
A Wayans, that's a first. Not sure how to respond to that.
-
lol..it wasn't an insult. Maybe it's just the pic but that was my first thought.
But I'm curious..why would your sons be any better at understanding not to take music literally than your daughter?
Is there an age factor or is it solely due to their gender? -

We'll daughter is 3 so we're not that far along in her development. It's not gender thing.
I wasn't insulted thought it was funny.
-
Ah..okay I'll accept that.
Probably should've picked up on that from the Fresh Beat Band mention...lol. -
I turn the music off and speak to them about their day at school/day care or what ever else is going on in their life.
-

Funny how the only dudes that post this type of ? are the ones that never get prowled upon.
But for the record, I am capable of platonic conversation. -
Yeah I do.

Yeah I do. When she in the car I listen to sports radio. But she keeps her iPod on listening to mindless behavior or the ? girls.

It's usually classic Jazz, Detroit Techno or Deep House, or old school or conscious hip hop. My 15 year old digs Blackstar , Mos Def, De La Soul, Common, and the like after being exposed to it in the car. My son (9) has some favorite Techno joints that he asks to hear when he's riding around with me.

i didn't at first, but when shorty was walking through church going

Im different was better then when he was singing "trick dont ? my vibe, trick dont ? my vibe" in the car on the way home from church!!! -
Yeah I put in my Big ? ? : Hard On Hoes Edition Mixtape ONLY when the kids are in the car.
-
No. I dont listen to much profanity in music anyway. I'm an R&B/Soul type guy. When it's there, it's there. They know not to repeat it.
When they are in the car, I'll play a variety of genres like jazz, soul, reggae, rock, funk, electronic, hip hop (etc.) more often so that they get a better appreciation of music in general. -
90% Podcasts when my son is on the car.
