5 Reasons to Love-Hate John Cena

LOVE
#5: He's funny
One thing I appreciate about Cena is that he has a good sense of humor and if the material is right he can be funny (see: The roast he and King did on Vickie Guerrero or his trolling audiences about heel turns)

#4: He started from the bottom
Unlike some guys *coughRockcough coughOrtoncough* Cena spent a lot of time doing nothing until he found his rapper gimmick. You can find matches where Cena jobs to Billy Kidman (yeah that happened)

#3: He can really sell emotions
Cena and selling well are usually not said together (more on this later) but Cena occasionally does a really good job of looking ? off or portraying sadness when the time calls for it. Intensity is usually his better emotion.

#2: Every kid needs a hero
Most of us had Hulk Hogan, others had Sting or Bret Hart to look up to but these days it's Cena. WWE is a babyface heavy territory and they will always have a top face to push as a hero and honestly Cena was a good, safe choice.

#1: Epic work ethic
I mean Cena can really go when he needs to and where he has weaknesses he tries to fix them. We chant "You can't wrestle" he then tries to show he can. We chant "same ol ? " he mixes his repertoire up. He proved to me that he can work most match types well and can work with top tier guys effectively.
HATE
#5: He is a ?
He smiles at inappropriate times, seemingly doesn't care about being booed out of arenas and is prone to being condescending to others. (See: his 'who is this kid' /'this is it?' Comment about CM Punk or how he acts on Total divas)

#4: Agility Wanted
Only three wrestlers of his size have less agility than Cena: Lex Luger, Ultimate Warrior and Vince McMahon. The fact is one of those isn't even a real wrestler should tell you something. His movements are way too awkward and he makes wrestling look fake (that terrible top rope leg drop....)

#3: Cliche promos
80-90% of Cena's promos are predictable: cheap pop, "I love you guys", "you don't have to like me", "rise above hate" it's wack and boring as ? .

#2 Push killer
Your favorite up and coming guy has probably been fed to Cena at some point. This year he killed Mark Henry but his list of victims is a mile long. From Chris Masters and Nexus to Randy Orton and Batista he manages to not just win matches but make his opponents look significantly inferior in the process. That's bad for business.

#1: No Selling
Jesus would someone tell this ? to actually sell damage?!Especially post match damage..I mean after 30 minutes Cena looks like he just went jogging not like he was in the fight of his life. This is exceptionally frustrating in matches like Last man standing, cell and chamber matches that are supposed to be "dangerous" but they look like 10 minutes on the elliptical after Cena is in there.

Rock was pushed out the gate, he won that survivor series math by himself and it was like 2 on 1 or something like that.

You forgot that Cenas punches looked worse than RVD's (which is saying something)

I think it violates man law to even like anything that has to do with John Cena... Just my opinion.

    I'll agree, but this doesn't mean I like the dude. I'll always hate him, simply because I think he's a ? .

Epic work ethic: That would be Big Show, Christian or any other WWE employee that has been there for more than 15 years. Stuffing a guy down peoples throats in ways so nasty that ? doesnt fit the bill, is not work ethic.

Jup, im also not fond of Cena at all.

Can we just make this a "hate Cena" thread. I honestly can't think of anything that I like about this crakkker.

He's not funny, he tries too hard
WWE promoted him to be a wannabe Hogan
His gimmick was never popular, ? 's been played out
Any kid that looks up to Cena will probably get bullied and commit suicide
? his work ethic, alot of greats didn't have work ethic but brought in ratings

And ? his entire ? gimmick...I hate it always have...how many bkacks have had that gimmick and went nowhere?
A black man can have all the tools and go nowhere a white person can imitate blacks and rise to the ? top.

White men stealing our culture and claiming it as there's to have the general crakkker population boost it up, scust'.

Its kinda odd. When playing trough the 30 years of Wrestlemania mode, i enjoyed beating the holy high hannukah out of Cena, and got incredibly bored whenever i had to play as Cena. Another white dude that tried too hard was Jeff Jarrett in WCW (look out for me to start a WCW from the beginning of Nitro to the bitter end blog sometime soon). But thanks to Jarrett im now a huge Scott Steiner mark, so there you go

ill be the one guy who agrees with a few things on the like list lol *dodges rocks thrown* *covers ears from heckling*

he does work hard, wwe has him running ragged with appearances and what not, and he can produce in the ring with the right opponents, dont front like he aint do his part to have good matches with jericho, hbk, cm punk, bryan, even damien sandow

yes he has gotta stale as a muthafucka, but i actually enjoyed the thuganomics heel phase, and it was kinda funny imo, nowadays he's funny every once in a blue moon, but as i said he has gotten stale and its like he's been forced on us these days n/h

but i can understand why ? wanna give him no -50000000000 credit

I don't ? with Cena either but I give dude credit when it's due. He has had good, PPV length matches since returning ad he has diversified his moveset. Dude did a hurracanrana one time and a float over power bomb in another. Then just last night he did a full Nelson to neck breaker combo on Ryback.

Now the ? is only impressive because Cena rarely does any new moves but I will say I am enjoying these variations. His character is stale as ? but he working his ass off.

Yeah and didn't he almost break his and whoever he was fighting's neck? Was either Dolph or CM Punk. I got ? when Cole said some ? like "Cena is constantly adding moves to his repertoire!!". It's only so noticeable because he hasn't done ? else for the longest.

I can agree with most of the list, though.
