Series producer promises to “say more” at next year’s show.

Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma has teased that more information on Wii U’s HD The Legend of Zelda will be headed our way next summer.

When asked by Mashable when we might hear more about Wii U’s original Zelda debut, Aonuma simply said, “I'll say more at E3 2014.”

An HD prototype of Zelda on Wii U was first shown back at E3 2011 but a full game has never been formally revealed. Series creator Shigeru Miyamoto said at E3 2012 that the team had “a number of different experiments going on,” but didn’t offer any additional details.

More recently, Aonuma discussed the scope of the project in a January Nintendo Direct, noting that the team is “rethinking the conventions of Zelda” and “returning to basics.” He later noted that he’s considering the use of DLC for the future of the franchise, but no other specifics were revealed.

E3 2014 will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center from June 10th through 12th.
