Mob City is an upcoming television series created by Frank Darabont for TNT. It is based on real-life accounts of the L.A.P.D. and gangsters in 1940s Los Angeles written in the book L.A. Noir: The Struggle for the Soul of America's Most Seductive City by John Buntin.[1] The series was known as L.A. Noir and Lost Angels during development. It is set to debut on December 4, 2013.
Mob City is the true story of a decades-long conflict between the Los Angeles Police Department, under the determined leadership of Police Chief William Parker, and ruthless criminal elements led by Mickey Cohen, a one-time boxer who rose to the top of L.A.'s criminal world. The series is a fast-paced crime drama set in Los Angeles during the 1940s and '50s. It is a world of glamorous movie stars, powerful studio heads, returning war heroes, a powerful and corrupt police force, and an even more dangerous criminal network determined to make L.A. its West Coast base

I don't really trust TNT when it comes to dramas. But this might have some potential. Tho I think something this gangsta deserves to be on Showtime. But Imma give it a watch see how it pans out. Yall gone watch, any early thoughts?

Ill give it a chance

I'm checking for it. Saw the promo this past summer. Thought it would be dope. I'm into that old school look.
Only other TNT show I watch is Dallas so I'll take a chance with this one. -
Would've given it a chance if it was on AMC, but it's not!
-
I'm a fan of anything mafia related, so I'll check it out
Seeing how it's TNT, my expectations won't be high -
wasn't Willie Parker the racist cop who helped flame tensions which led to the Watts riots
-

Frank Darabont who made the Walking Dead (the best season so far at that) and Shawshank Redemption? Yea i'm giving this a shot.. And if TNT is capable of continuing a series like Southland after NBC dropped it then I think they can make this work with Darabont's direction. -
bout to go down...

Its decent. Didnt catch all of the 2nd hour
-
its not bad, this could be that new show ? ? with.
-
I've never watched a TNT show before...I may give this a shot though.

Jus finished the 1st 2 episodes, solid start so far. Has alotta potential. The shootin at the resturant at the end was gangsta as ? .
The black bartender broad is sexy as hell btw -
I hear this isn't a series, but a mini series
I tried to watch this ? and fell asleep .This ? is like Boardwalk Empire/Goodfellas and a cheesy Private Eye story
I gotta give it another chance
This ain't no BE though -

It was solid.. And I think it will amp up the next episode. Saw Ernie Hudson in the next one.. always have respect for him and Delroy Lindo.
Simon Pegg is underrated.. very versatile.
SMH at Shane still ? with Dale..
And a Tommy Gun scene just spraying is always dope.

1st half was meh. 2nd half was GOAT.
Bugsy Siegel and Meyer Lansky sitdown in the hotel was classic.Siegel's murder was gangsta as ? . Shane shot that ? in face 3 times. got damn!!
If it gets a 2nd season, I think they should only show one episode at a time. solid watch tho. cool to see a older version of Meyer Lansky. that's my dude in Boardwalk Empire.
