What does our subconscious think about the suppression of the thought?

It's too difficult. Trying to suppress thoughts only make you think more.

And so behind an age old catch 22 -
Thought suppression is less effective than simply changing one's thinking patterns.
-
It is possible. The brain can do many things under the right user. Just depending on your focus.
-
Ain't suppression bad for you though?

I remember my weed smokin days.
Good times indeed. -

it gathers them. During your dreams he may make them reapiring through another form for purposes...

I think it's impossible.

Suppression does not remove the thoughts. Our thoughts are often triggered by cues. Conditioning the mind to associate different thoughts with these perceived cues will always work more than simply suppressing the thoughts. Rather than just eliminating the bad one is forced to develop and replace the bad with good.

I don't have Asperger's -
@elrawd
some of your thoughts are censored and throw in the subconscious. For example ? thoughts, parents assassinations thoughts.
who is the censor? Society, religion, traditions etc.
-
There is no FCC for my thoughts. I am not sure what you mean by censored thoughts.

For example, thoughts are not illegal. Actions are. Who's to say your neighbor ain't thinking about little girls in a creepy way? He might not be a ? , but maybe his thoughts say different. We will never know. -
@elrawd
Some thoughts and desires deemed not good by your education andsociety are held back from going into your conciousness through speaking and acting.that censoring. -
I would argue I am conscious of most of my thoughts, if not immediately while they are happening then in hindsight when I reflect on my actions and what provoked them.
Is choosing not to act on certain thoughts a form of mental self censorship? -
aint this what drugs are for? (no marijuana)

@elrawd
the less people chose to rely on social censorship devices such as religion, the more they will have to be aware of themselves. If not you gon see more homosexual behaviors, more ? , more super violent acts -
Are you saying that more religion equals more homosexuality or less?
-
@elrawd
less. However , religion is not the only censor. Education, gender consolidation and tradition are also. I dont say that it was a perfect world. But now we are swimming towards the extrem opposite. We melting genders through clothing ,there are lesser religious beliefs, a failing education system. We lack of barriers and all that in the name of freedom.
its more about 'doing you' than 'doing with'. But at the end of the day, you will have to interact within your society.
