According to market research website InfoScout, The Xbox One video game console dominated the rankings at Walmart and Target, coming in No. 1 with a 31 percent share even though it had the highest purchase price at $499. .
Coming in a close second was the Xbox One's predecessor the Xbox 360, fueled by deep discounts that saw record low prices on the video game console. Sony's PlayStation 3 came in third, narrowly pushing past the new PlayStation 4.

There were not many PS4 available on Black Friday, but this is interesting.
PlayStation 4 fastest-selling console in UK historyPlayStation 4 launched in the United Kingdom this weekend to become the country’s fastest-selling game console, sales tracking company Chart-Track announced.
The system broke the eight year record held by PSP, which sold 185,000 units during its September 2005 launch in the United Kingdom.
According to MCV, the system sold over 250,000 units in the United Kingdom in its first 48 hours on sale, besting Xbox One’s 150,000 units within the same period.

PS4 was already sold out.
When I checked Target, Wal-Mart and K-Mart, everything PS4 was sold out.
The xbox one games were almost all sold out but the consoles were there.
Been like this since it dropped. Only PS4 I've seen is the display. -
There were a small number of PS4's available in the US @ least.
Ask this again around this coming summer when more are made available. -

Yeah, kinda hard for PS4s to sell when there were none available. Don't forget that the PS4 just dropped over in Europe, so I'm pretty sure that was their priority for where they shipped units. Also, let's not forget that the PS4 has already sold a million+ units in the US. The XB1 is still catching up to that, so there are likely more people out there who wanted an XB1 right now and were still trying to get one.

Both were "sold out" so don't really see how that's a reason. I just went to Target, Amazon, Wal-Mart, GameStop and Best Buy .com. XBO is sold out at all of them.
I also don't understand the "Oh, the PS4 isn't here? Well, here's an extra $100 for this console I didn't come here to buy" thing either. -

Guess I just find it hard to believe Sony hadn't made another shipment to the U.S. two weeks after launch, and for the biggest global shopping day of the year.
Come on man. I know you are anti-PS4 til you die, but this ? isn't rocket science. Two weeks ago, Sony shipped and sold more than a million units in the U.S. alone. You can compare that to M$ shipping and selling a similar number of units worldwide. Last week, the PS4 went on sale in the E.U. In the UK alone it broke the record for the fastest selling console in history beating the XB1 by more than 100K units in that country. I'm not saying which is better, and honestly I think it's pretty silly that people are so amped to buy a system with a garbage catalog and several known problems. But that's what it is. Why would Sony go out of its way to try and force units to the U.S. when it's selling out all over the world and still has yet to even be released in much of the Asian market? -

I know a guy who bought the last PS4 at his Target and a dude basically ran him down in the parking lot and offered him $1400 for it. That's just stupid.
