Personal top 5, one of those movies that no matter how many times I see it, if it's on tv, I watch it

One of the most powerful endings to any movie ever.themadlionsfan wrote: »"Don't get attached to anything that you can't walk away from in 30 seconds flat if you spot the heat coming around the corner."
I've lived by that law my entire adult life. People think I'm selfish for it but attachment is the real enemy that hinders you from true freedom and becomes a prison.

never seen the movie but i always hear how great it is. imma try to find it on demand

i saw this for the first time last year. long as ? but not a scene out of place. it's crazy that diner scene was the only scene pacino & de niro had together.

Coincidence. I was just listening to Fabolous' Soul Tape 2 last nite and he used that quote on one of the songs
..
When DeNiro and his gang get nicked outside that bank, the sound of gun shots between them and the cops is so real, it doesn't even sound or look like a movie
When it comes to guns no body does it better than Michael Mann in Hollywood -

Real talk after watching it, you might feel silly for even waiting this long. From the opening credits until the end, ain't no part of this movie that's not absolutely top notch cinema

What's really crazy is they didn't even record it together. Both of them played out that scene with stand ins. Great acting and great editing. -
Best shootout i've seen in any movie, period. They had them ARs ringin. Peep how my ? Val Kilmer set it off with no hesitation.

at the end when he comes out the hotel & sees Pacino then looks at his girl, stood there for 30secs then dipped lol -

That ending is straight poetry. What makes it so bittersweet is knowing that in another life or another time these 2 guys could've been the best of friends. You even notice it in Hannah's (Pacino) face when he's holding Neal's hand.
Chris (Val Kilmer) is the only one of the thieves that gets away. I don't see how that's not clear. His woman doesn't end up selling him out but the downside is he can't no longer be with his family because he'll get caught.

True story. I didn't like that Miami Vice movie he did a few years back. But it had the best sound editing of any movie I saw that year. The shootouts sounded like real shootouts.

Heat, Public Enemies, and even certain parts of Miami Vice are GOAT! Michael Mann is a fantastic director.
-
Public enemies is not GOAT
-
i watched this in theaters when I was 11 and i knew then it would make classic status. I like how Mann used that Moby song at the end
-
I hated that ? Waingro
