Compare the Bible to Marvel, DC, Star Wars, Matrix, and other made up stories. Do movies based on the Bible tend to be more or less enjoyable than other franchises based on characters and events that never actually took place?

They should make a movie about the book of Enoch.....

cant think of any good bible movies, except the classics with the indian guy with the British name...benjamin something.

anyway Darksiders 1 and 2 are excellent games based on biblical stuff, right up there with the arkham and ? of war series

Fact: Some people are mentally ill and tend to make up false realities to make life palatable.

Back on subject, Passion of the Christ and Prince of Egypt were dope movies, sans white lead characters and British accents.

This upcoming Noah movie looks kinda wack. I'd rather see a movie about Beast Boy.

I remember seeing the Samson and Delilah TV movie that aired on TNT back in the late 90's. It was hot garbage.

Damn, a Samson movie would be great. Get Chris Hemsworth or Henry Cavil as Samson, Jennifer Lawrence as Delilah, and Liam Nelson as the antagonist.

Meh, only three classic movies from the ? franchise

Ten Commandments (because of Yul Brynner)
    Prince of Egypt
    The Passion of Christ

Cosign with everything but Passion of the Christ. Jesus of Nazareth was better. If I wanted to see a jew get beaten for 2 or 3 hours straight I would watch Schindler list.

Contrary to my views on the whole subject though, I actually enjoy bible movies and shows.

    1:Jesus of Nazareth
2: Jesus Christ Superstar (once again singin jesus>>>any other. And Carl Anderson was the GOAT Judas, dude had me thinking after his performance)
    3:Prince of Egypt
    4:Ten Commandments
    5: Ben Hurr

its a mistranslation, it was a strawriver in the og hebrew scrolls, greeks wrongly translated it in red sea...

yet still jews/christians etc a like ignore that and Made up a Whole cultural Identity on that "slaves Building the pyramids, parting the red sea and 40 years wandering in the desert" ?

all because one dude translated something wrong lol

its a compilation of books/scrolls/letters compiled under Constantines authority by the councel of Nicaea....priests like Eusebius etc set it up.

check out the dead sea scrolls, some epic stuff in there that didnt make the councils bible.

if anyone ever has the ? to make a movie about dead sea scroll jesus(bro jumped of a cliff with his tribe to prevent getting slaughtered, which is written on the only scrolls that were written in his Time btw) now that would be something else.

Has there ever been a movie made about jesus coming back and the rapture. Then the 7yrs where satan rules the earth and the mark of the beast and all that stuff. That could be a dope flick if made right.

    KYS for this casting

A Samson film and a revelations/Apocalypse film would be great
