can't i just start a damn show or movie and put down the remote without having to turn it up when they talk and turn it back down when the boombastic action sequence happens?

I watched the pianist the other night and had to do this. I would have to turn it up sky high for the dialogue but ? sound like thunder when the action kicks in. Subtitles tho when I'm in the mood.

bumpin this old thread to say I thought I was the only one. I hate that whisper speak and I have to put my volume up to 50 just to get the gist of their dialogue. whats up with that ? why can't you talk at normal volume. even when they talk at normal volume you cant understand them.

I thought I was the only one. I've been yelled at for waking up the son more times than I can remember. ? is woat. Someone needs to figure out how to make the sound level across the board.

Get a legit 5.1 set up and crank up the center channel (where the talking is routed) and you'll be good

for some reason I have Comcast and espn will be showing sports center and the ? will random go mute... you have to change the channel and change it back to get sound ? is annoying as ? ...

Man i was watching selma and had the tv on like 70 (it goes up to 100) and the ? was still hella low. I go to turn up the tv on the actual tv (it's louder than doing it through the cable for some reason) right at the point where they showed the 4 girls getting blown up in the church...i think part of my brain melted.

YouTube has been doing this with all of their ads before videos as well, can't even use headphones for my phone because the sound blasts my ears away.
Noticed this on Dragon Ball Kai and those commercials for pills. Alarm Force used to be notorious for this. -
This can ? up your Netflix and chill. True story, me n a gf was "chillin" and turned the flick high enough to not hear a mattress squeak. A martial arts film will start with 5 or 10 minutes of wise whispers, like @VIBE said. Then a flashback of loud kids playing, a loud gong and an explosion of fists and swords, and someone screaming NOOOOO!!!

? ! YouTube got a ad for ? medication, yall probably seen it. I'm at my (much older) mother's house on my laptop and I'm sure they heard

I clicked skipped real quick. My mom called me later that night and told me to get tested.

I put subtitles on everything at the crib. Some actors got sum horrible, hard to understand voices.
