Shelly Sterling and her lawyers have been negotiating with the NBA since her husband was banned for life by commissioner Adam Silver on April 29. While the league has yet to formally accept this arrangement, sources said, if she is willing to sell the team in its entirety, this could bring a startlingly quick end to what appeared to be a protracted legal battle.

His friend is gona make a bid
Some billionaire -
Billionaire Antony Ressler, a longtime friend of Donald Sterling, is preparing a bid to purchase the Los Angeles Clippers, according to the New York Post.
The NBA has charged Sterling with damaging the league with his racist comments and set a hearing for June 3, after which other team owners will vote to decide the future of his ownership of the Clippers.
Ressler, 54, is "going to be aggressive" about making a bid, according to the report, which cited sources. He also made a bid to purchase the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Other notables said to have interest in purchasing the Clippers include: Larry Ellison, who could partner with David Geffen and Oprah Winfrey; former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer; and Magic Johnson along with executives at Guggenheim Partners, who teamed up to buy the Dodgers. -

I really wish magic could get it(own the clippers) but i dont think it'll happen. -

Anyone associated with the Sterlings should be automatically out of the NBA's consideration as a possible buyer. Oprah or Magic's group should be primary targets.

It will be sold to a friend, associate or relative who harbors the exact same views. Nepotism and Cronyism are weapons of the wealthiest 1% used to uphold the status quo.
Nothing to see here, nothing will change except this time whoever the cac that owns it, will keep their mouth shut and views to themselves while invoking the political game of publicly distancing themselves from Sterling. -
Magic got this

Q: After hiring lawyers, threatening litigation and refusing to pay a $2.5 million fine, why are the Sterlings now indicating an agreement to sell the Clippers?
A: The Sterlings' sudden willingness to consider a sale of the team could be a tactic to delay the termination of Donald Sterling's ownership. It could be a cynical attempt to entrap the NBA into recognition that Shelly shares ownership with Donald, a complication that the NBA wishes to avoid. Or it could be recognition by the Sterlings of the legal realities of their predicament.
The NBA and Silver already have said there will be no delays in the rapid-fire procedure for termination of ownership that is established in the NBA constitution. Silver and the NBA lawyers are too smart to fall into a Sterling trap. The most likely reason for the Sterlings' willingness to sell is that they, with help from their various lawyers, have now recognized that the NBA is holding all the cards. The league can and will terminate Donald's ownership at its meeting June 3, and Donald's legal recourse is, at best, problematic. Any lawsuit attempting to reverse the league's decision to terminate ownership is doomed to an early failure.
Lester Munson over at ESPN speaking that real about this ? and the Sterlings true intention. -
lol u know you done ? up when major news wires just describe you as "Disgraced" from the jump in story ledes, think about it.......a politician could get caught ? a kid and sellin ? and still not get that
-
Eric Williams or Antoine Walker gon buy it
-
Donald Sterling=selfish bastard....dude could make a billion dollars off the sale but he would rather fight the league
-
even after the sale the other owners have to vote on it so they wont be able to sell to someone they know
