Not only do you need a spotter, get one that knows wtf he's doing and dont forget the clamps on the bar.

I never put clamps on a bar when benching... if you screw up without a spotter you can slide the weights off without the clamps...happened to me about 15 years ago, if I had clamps I would be in trouble.

This dumb-ass ? thought he was the Hulk or something? Common sense should tell you that you need at least one spotter with all of that weight.
