Fourth actually. Consoles started using analog sticks back in gen 5 (Nintendo 64, Playstation).

A lot of people got caught up in the DRM/Price hype last year and started lumping controllers in the mix, saying the PS4 has the better controller. After using the PS4 controller, its an improvement over the terrible DS3, but XBOX 360/One are still the greatest controllers of all time.
But yea, Nintendo's and M$' "first round" hardware isn't peeling and wobbling. -
From a gaming standpoint is there anything of substance to differentiate them? At least the XB1 has more bells and whistles, so if those appeal to you the XB1 really has the only clear advantage.
I think it will be another year or so before you can really give a good answer to which is the better system to have for a gamer. -

True. There is no reason for poor quality thumb grips at this point. -

Doesnt really matter at the moment, could be either One now, buy the other One a couple years from now when more exclusives dropped.
last gen I started with the 360 in 06, copped a ps3 in 09 lol. -

Get whichever you want. I had both last cycle. I wanted to cop the PS4, but ended up getting the X1 cause they were sold out of PS4s for months
. I'll eventually get a PS4 once some worthy exclusives start dropping. -

my upstairs one does yeah but i got an old samsung plasma downstairs, run everything through my blu ray system but it struggles with the bigger files.
might just get a new smart tv before i invest in one of these consoles.but really in this day and age these file formats should be supported, at the very least mp4 and mkv. -
