interesting...so far about half said no and half said 1 or 2 mixtapes...
so some ppl consider alot of these mixtapes classics or at least on par with traditional album releases so let me follow up with this....
are mixtapes taking away from debut albums? i remember part of the appeal of a debut rap album was hearing that rapper on multiple tracks for the first time...a new rapper would be on a couple of features, have a couple of singles, and if u were lucky a demo tape or a rough version of the album might get leaked and that was it...
but nowadays cats are putting out studio quality work before their debut... -

Kush & Orange Juice and Section 80 felt like albums and I still listen to them, they are classics to me
