Part of it was Tebow was likeable (to some) while Manziel isn't likeable. Not too many people like Manziel, almost all white people liked Tebow

All I know is that Manziel's hype was a tad more warranted (since it didn't involve religion and he was more talented) and the success rate of any Tebow pass was about the same as a trick option HB pass play involving a backup running back. -
Are we sure that Manziel can play? There are people questioning if he'll be in the league much longer. Redskins came out showing him the blitz and so did the lions and he never adjusted to anything the defense was giving him.
There is a report that redskins players are saying he needs to save his money because he may not be in the league long. -

Dude Manziel comes from money (either his parents or grandparents are big in the oil business in Texas) he's gonna be rich whether he blows his NFL money or not. -
