Sony Japan Now Offers Custom PS4 Hardrive Cover Engravings

Sony is not only offering a bunch of exclusive PlayStation 4 consoles in Japan, they have now started to offer custom engravings via their online store in the country. The engravings can be added via their Sony Store Japan. When purchasing a PS4 from its online store, Japanese buyers can now, at extra cost, add a custom PS4 harddrive cover.

The custom PlayStation harddrive covers add an extra 200 Yen, or $20 to the final price of the console. Customers can choose between a wide variety of pre-engraved covers, and in the future, the Sony Store in Japan will offer custom engravings as well, where customers can submit their own art work.

So far the engravings include various motifs of PlayStation 4 games such as Metal Gear Solid 5. You can check out a collection of some of the custom PS4 harddrive covers below.

Sony has been very active in providing special edition PlayStation 4 consoles in Japan. There have been a dozen of them so far, and only two have made it to Europe and North America. Just earlier today, they announced another limited edition console for Japan: the Metal Slime PS4.
