the US used a blockade on japan so japan had to get they resources....they knew japan was coming an thats why a sub was sunk first at pearl harbor.....they allowed it to happen to join in the war.....

    so they threw a rock
    hid their hands
then got mad when japan wanted to fight
and say they got pulled into a war from a sneak attack

So Japan wasn't doing anything deserving of a blockade? They weren't running rampant around their region taking over lands of America's allies and innocents and siding with Germany?

But let's face facts. the United States rule the World. They have done and will continue to do evil acts to stay on top.

Okay, let's do what you just said and review the facts. At the on set of the Second World War, the U.S. was regarded as the second rate power, (with the United Kingdom [with their empire that the sun never sat on,] and arguably Germany and Japan as the world's most powerful nations.

If Hirohito and Tojo'em knew that the U.S. would basically ? slap them all over the Pacific, (after getting the Pacific fleet back up,) Toyko would be fire bombed, and two cities would be obliterated, it's fair to say that they would have thought twice before attacking Pearl Harbor. The United States emerged from WW II superpower not before.

What's your point. We're the Allies supposed to continue it's island hoping campaign, continue fire bombing cities, and use a million man army to invade, capture, and hold each island in the Japanese archipelago? Muthafuckas seem to forget that the Japanese mindset was that of Islamic extremists of today and they didn't believe in surrender. Every Japanese man, woman, and child was prepared to fight to the death for Emperor. As much as muthafuckas hate to admit it, Fat Man and Little Boy saved lives. Also dude, before you comment on history, you should know it.

You are spitting out History from the United States point of view. There is a fair amount of evidence that the US for whatever reason provoked Japan to attack them.

Japan attacked China and Russia a few years before attacking the US...

Japan was a war mongering nation that was thirsty for China's natural resources...

Google Nanshin-ron to get an understanding of Japan's mindset going into the war...

As I said in my posts above all Countries do dirt. I think Japan's conflict with China and Russia are about the ownership of some Islands.

They took the capital of China and major cities...

    SMH...

    Islands...

and look at what China is doing today to the Kingdom of Tibet. but it seems that everyone just look over China's transgressions for the almighty $

What does that have to do with WW2?...

SMH @ the 2 man sub that was sunk an hr before the harbour was bombed...

Again Japan was a war mongering country; they only pumped the breaks once an atomic bomb was dropped on them...

WW2 is pretty well documented as is most of the events leading up and in to the war...

You're playing politics and trying to indirectly change the subject.

When the 7th of December 1941 was over, it was clear that the Japanese had delivered a tremendous blow to the United States. Five battleships were sunk or sinking, three destroyers were wrecked, a minelayer and target ship had capsized, two cruisers were badly damaged and many other ships needed repairs. Hawaii-based Navy and Army aviation was also greatly diminished, feeding a sense of defenselessness and defeat that greatly exceeded the realities of the situation.

What a way to get into a war, you let your enemy sink the work horses of your fleet. This is the equivalent of provoking a fight with a dude, but you let the ? break your arm first and give you a bleeding cut over your eye before you start fighting.

i think we're talking about an embargo of Japan, not a blockade, right?
but i think if we go back and look, this kind of action started around 1939 or so... and Japan had already been running wild in China since 1937. and actually, that's just the official war. they were in Manchuria in 1931.

also, it was, in fact, a sneak attack. whether or not that attack was justified (say, you presume Japan was in the right to start a war AND to start it in that manner) is another debate, i suppose, and i believe it's fair to say it wasn't actually SUPPOSED to be a sneak attack ... but still.

Good points, Japan was running wild in China and with the Nanking Incident, Japan lost all moral authority in that region.

and beyond China, what really ruined the concept of the Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere was Japan acting in the manner they did
