Resident Evil TV Series Announced

A Resident Evil TV series is in the works, but don't expect to see it anytime soon, as it's not planned to debut until after the next Resident Evil movie comes to theaters.

This is according to a report from Variety, which says the Germany-based Constantin Film (the production company behind the Resident Evil movie franchise) is planning the spinoff as part of its increased interest in TV programming.

The next Resident Evil movie, which may be the last considering it's called Final Chapter, does not yet have a release date. It was recently delayed because lead actress Milla Jovovich--who is married to Resident Evil movie director Paul W.S. Anderson--is pregnant.

Variety's report mentions only that the Resident Evil TV series is in production; it does not include any details regarding a plot or which actors will appear in it. The Resident Evil movies are not re-tellings of any of the game's, though they do keep with the franchise's best-known themes.

The next new Resident Evil game, Resident Evil: Revelations 2, will be released episodically--just like a TV show. There's been rumors that the TV series will re-live the video game franchise, not following the films at all. Also another rumors the TV Series could possibly be setup somewhat like the Revelation series.

Part 1 was the best and 2 was decent but ? damn after that the story is so ? up.
Idk how I feel about this as a TV show.
Best way would be to take the first movie with the labs and expand on that story. Then go from there.

Like WTF, the movies had nothing to do with the game. Why would I see a female zombie ? other zombies up? She can't act.

those movies started out kinda dumb and then they randomly started following the games and it got even worse
Maybe they can make a good RE TV show if they do something like the last of us or the walking dead

its going to have stiff competition with the walking dead. the series and the movies should be two seperate entities. none of that alice ? . the show should be centered around the redfields and leon kennedy. it has to have a dark serous tone and no cartoony cgi effects. lastly it has to have a good story,script and better acting.

Another thing with shows like this is the writing and acting. If you have really good character development, you're either gonna hate or love certain people. When you have zombies on a show, you have to make the threat real and have tension esp. when you're confined to a space. This show should start small and expand over time. Or if you go big from the jump, you can include some flashbacks. Arrow's first two seasons have done flashbacks really well.
