GOAT

I get mad frustrated when I rhyme...
-
Fugees are my all time favorite group of all time
-
Pras sucked rhymin & Wyclef was hit or miss. Lauren Hill was G.O.A.T. Had she had more material she'd top 3 greatest mc's EVER
-
Clef doesn't get enough credit, he was/is a good rapper. Lauryn was amazing though, I guess that's sort of the takeaway from the group. Nobody could appreciate Clef because Lauyrn was so cold with it.

Clef is the man and the Carnival is classic
-
Their affiliates were good too: John Forte Canibus etc
Salaam Remi got his first big look with them
Akon too -
5 Mics to me. Still gets played to this day.
Yeah in saloons we drink Boone's and battle goons till high noon
Bust rap tunes on flat spoons, take no shorts like poom poom's
See hoochies pop coochies, for Gucci's and Lucci
Find me in my Mitsubishi, eating sushi, bumping Fugees
Hey Hey Hey - try to take the crew and we don't play play
Say say say - like Paul McCartney, not hardly
ODD-ly enough, I can see right through your bluff
? huff and they puff but they can't handle us, WE BUST
Cause we fortified, I could never hide
Seen "Cooley High", cried when Cochise died
I'm twisted, black-listed by some other negroes
Don't remove my Polos on the first episode
Ha Ha Ha Ha, You shouldn't diss refugees, and
Ha Ha Ha Ha, You whole sound set's ? , and
Ha Ha Ha Ha, You have to respect JERSEY, cause I'm superfly when I'm super-high on the Fu-Gee-La

Now that I escape, sleepwalker awake
Those who could relate know the world ain't cake
Jail bars ain't golden gates
Those who fake, they break
When they meet their 400-pound mate
If I could rule the world
Everyone would have a gun in the ghetto of course
When giddyuping on their horse
I kick a rhyme drinking moonshine
I pour a sip on the concrete, for the deceased
But no don't weep, Wyclef's in a state of sleep
Thinking bout the robbery that I did last week
Money in the bag, banker looked like a drag
I want to play with pellet guns from here to Baghdad
Gun blast, think fast, I think I'm hit
My girl pinched my hips to see if I still exist
I think not, I'll send a letter to my friends
A born again hooligan only to be king again
[Hook]
[Verse 2 - Lauryn Hill]
I play my enemies like a game of chess, where I rest
No stress, if you don't smoke sess, lest
I must confess, my destiny's manifest
In some Goretex and sweats I make treks like I'm homeless
Rap orgies with Porgy and Bess
Capture your bounty like Elliot Ness, yes
Bless you if you represent the Fu
But I'll hex you with some witch's brew
If you're doo-doo, voodoo
I can do what you do, easy, believe me
Fronting n****s give me heebie-jeebies
So while you're imitating Al Capone, I'll be Nina Simone
And defecating on your microphone

A tear came to my eye as I reminisce my first time hearing this -
I actually preferred digable planets, esp their second album, but I loved this album and groove theory album came out around then too, I remember playing them both non stop.
-
? made this word, u cant get wit this/ sweet like licorice, dangerous like syphilis...
-
How many mics and that Boom Biddy Bye Bye remix with Cypress Hill was some GOAT ?
-
-
The Score album was GOAT for a few reasons.
1. Very little cursing
2. Dope Beats
3. Down to earth subject matter (no guns or kingpin drug stories)
4. GOAT rhymes from Lauryn, Dope Rhymes from Wyclef and Pras played his position
-
Those were the days of greatest hip-hop ever made. Timeless album
-
Classic album, Wyclef has one of the most annoying voices in hip hop but him and jerry wonder are underrated as ? as producers.

One of my favorite lines from Lauryn Hill! My brother and I used to play this tape out! -
the interlude after that song used to have me rolling.....
-
This was so pure
Rap about everyday life
Everyday skits
