If Justin Timberlake was Black with everything else the same, he'd probably be Chris Brown level...maybe a little higher because he wouldn't have all the negative publicity surrounding him.

I think his music and even his stuff with NSYNC was pretty damn good sonically... I think if he were black he would have been trapped by his genre and not able to be as pop as he was (black folks seem to not challenge genre barriers as much)
He did have a bit of R&B/Soul to him, but mostly he was pop through and through imo
If anything though i'd agree with the Usher comparison, but then JT is a little bit more likable as a person. I think the limits black artist have are ones we put on ourselves because we dont want to be looked at as sell outs or white washed.
White folks make whatever they want and call it music -
w/o listening to the video...Id say he wouldnt be as popular among whites

Other than that, hard to hate on dude. As far as R&B...who ? wit JT right now? Trey Songz? Chris Brown? Usher? Nah. Robin Thicke makes some dope ? , but dude can't perform.
