Law enforcement does NOT believe Suge Knightintended to run over and ? his friend Thursday, but they DO believe he tried to run over another guy and that's enough to charge him with murder.
Law enforcement sources tell us ... they have interviewed multiple witnesses who say the man Suge seemed to be after was Cle "Bone" Sloan, an actor who has appeared in "Training Day" and "End of Watch."
Suge and Bone were in a physical altercation before he threw his truck in reverse. Witnesses say Suge gunned the carin reverse twice, as if to make sure he hit his target.
The man who died, Terry Carter, was a passenger in the truck when they arrived. He's a good friend of Suge's who was apparently dealing with Bone behind the truck when Suge gunned it.
Even though Suge clearly did not intend to ? Carter, in California and most states, if someone in the process of committing a felony accidentally kills someone in the process ... he can be charged with murder.
Short story ... if Suge was gunning for Bone, that would constitute a felony -- assault with a deadly weapon -- therefore, he could be charged with "felony murder" even though his good friend -- and not Bone -- was killed. -
Suge is a thug and gangsta that just happened to be a successful businessman for a time. However, to the core of his being, the ? is Blood. The problem is that this ? is damn near 50 years old and is out still carrying on beefs that started 15 years ago, the ? is really sad when you think about it.
Instead of finding some artists to rebuild his label and possibly having some sort of reconciliation with Dre, Snoop, and Kurupt, the ? is over here holding on to ? like grudges that have only hurt him in the end. It seems to me that Dre doing that billion deal with Apple was the ultimate ether to that ? 's soul. I can imagine Suge sitting in dark candle lit room, smoking a cigar, having some MacCallan, then out of frustration throwing the class against the wall, and saying "DAMN YOU DRE! I GOT YOU OUT OF YOUR RUTHLESS CONTRACT! I MADE YOU WHAT YOU ARE! YOU TURNED YOUR BACK ON ME AND I SHALL HAVE MY REVENGE! Let be a lesson kids. Suge is a living example of karma being a ? and ? not liking ugly. -

Suge Knight was lured into a trip to a Compton set that turned fatal, and the mission was to broker a peace accord between Suge and longtime rival Dr. Dre ... this according to sources connected to Suge.
Shortly before the collision, Suge had gone to another location where the commercial for "Straight Outta Compton" was being shot and got into a physical push and shove with Dr. Dre's security. Some off-duty officers saw the altercation and ordered Suge to leave.
Our Suge sources say a short time later Terry Carter called Suge and said he had contacted Dre and was told to bring Suge by the next location where they could work out their problems. Suge says he took Carter up on the offer, believing it would be a peaceful meeting, but when he arrived he got jumped before he even got out of his truck.
As we first reported ... it all ended with Suge running over Terry's head, killing him. Suge is now in a downtown L.A. jail after being arrested for murder. His bail is set at $2 million. As you probably know, Dre and Suge owned Death Row Records but their partnership blew apart and Dre left the business and went to Interscope.
Suge's people say they can easily prove Terry called Suge but obviously there's only one person now who can recount the conversation.
