I remember not having much expectations for this album, only heard two or three songs from Damian beforehand and there were other collabo albums I wanted to see Nas do over this one I figured it was just some experimental ? , but I copped it the first day regardless like every Nas album and man was I caught off guard, this ? didn't take no time to grow on me I knew it was a classic right off the bat, I cant even explain to you how timely the song "friends" was with some ? I was going through at the time, but from top to bottom its a classic in every sense of the word, think i'll bump this today

When I first heard the album friends was my ? to when I later heard the verse Nas drop in the end of Strong Will Continue I knew it was a classic..

Summer is comin now and time to blast thiiis ? !

This verse on strong will continue.... oh ?

    I'm a street lifer
Always harrassed by the cee cyphers
Chief like Geronimo with his peace pipe
I emerged from the street life
This for the homies who relate
    Know what it be like
My QB life takin' a turn to the Louis XIII life
Twisted and mangled sort of like Bruce Lee life
    Cursed with his son Brandon
If that's you and me, Knight, I pray our fates greater
I speak life I still matter as a rapper, not doubtin'
Even Toni Braxton signed a deal with Craig Kallman
How in, the hell am I supposed stay comfy
When I pay child support, alimony monthly?
    Got Maseratis and Ferraris
Only like a woman who's a rider, But only ? 's want me
Single life crazy, ? wives on me
I say stay faithful, they say their man corny
So I'm, stuck with a married woman
So fine, cheatin while they husband
Rushing on the 40-yard line, wonder if
This is what my ex did the whole time
Good ? seem to always end up
With some hard times, hope not
    If a ? slippin and a ? plot
    Ain't nothin to a G in a two-tone drop, kid
And it don't stop, See a ? dissapearin
With the baddest honeys in the whole spot, yeah

This album surprised me. I was kinda hesitant with buying it because I really don't understand all of the words Damian be saying sometimes. When I first listened I would read the lyrics to get an idea of his style. Once I got hip to the words, this was on repeat like a ? . Might have to go back and listen again from seeing this thread.
