IGN reported that a few weeks back. And they DID say that was the reason Amazon Prime passed on it. -
jus finished ep 7.
? , ? , ? ,? , ? !!!!!!!!!! -
The references to Hannibal (the novel) in the last episode were fantastic. They did a pretty good job adapting that book these last few episodes. Only real issue I had was the handling of Pazzi otherwise it was pretty damn good and even had some subtle changes for the better (like Bedilia as the Clarice Starling surrogate ,adding Dr. Bloom to the Margot subplot, Mason wanting to eat Hannibal instead of feeding him to his pigs etc).
One thing I loved the most though wasWill completely washing his hands off Hannibal "I don't want to know where you are or what you're doing" etc. then Hannibal's natural response is to leave and expect Will to follow him. But Will doesn't follow him. Meaning that he has indeed grown past this dysfunctionally symbiotic relationship. So Hannibal just camps outside of Will's house for hours expecting Will to go after him and it never happens.
So what does Hannibal do? he surrenders and then proceeds to give Will this "oh you wanted to reject me and not ever know what I was up to anymore? tough break now you're going to know WHERE I am and WHAT I am up to at all times whether you like it or not." A testament to the main theme of the series that the one thing that distinguishes Hannibal from your average run of the mill serial killer is his dynamic with his pursuers and how he is pretty much NOTHING without that and knows it.
? was pretty genius and an excellent conclusion for that particular take on the "Chesapeake Ripper" subplot from these last 3 years.
I'm really looking forward to what they do with Red Dragon.
Word through the grapevine is that Dolarhyde tormenting Freddie Lounds is so disturbingparticularly when he bites off her lipsthat people on the set were actually nauseous. -
Why are margot and alana together?

The best show on television hands down, another classic episode

We're all finding out together as the season goes along. It's not something that was in the books. It's something Bryan Fuller himself came up with. -

I mean have they alluded to it before? Had they been flirting or something? It seemed like it came outa nowhere so i was wondering if i missed the setup. -
GOAT show yet it gets cancelled right before this episode airs? Tragic.

They didn't and that's why it did seem random as ? .
I'm guessing it was rushed through because so much was condensed into this season since they had a feeling it would be their last even before cancellation was announced.
I expect it to be elaborated it on further during the Red Dragon section of the season.
To me it seemed like it was a power play on her behalf. Using the manipulative nature she observed Hannibal used to her advantage to see him get caught and brought to justice. -
Red Dragon is off to an amazing start. Dolarhyde was all sorts of ? up without saying one word. It was also pretty heartbreaking seeing Will have to step back into that life now that he seems to be in a good place.
Oh btw Fuller spoke on plans for a potential season 4 and what his potential Clarice Starling would be like over here
