Currently Serena has: 34 Total Grand Slam Titles. 20 Grand Slams. 67 Singles Titles. 22 Doubles Titles. 4 Gold Medals. Plus, she’s received the Career Golden Slam Title. {With her probable wins at Wimbledon and the US Open this year, she will have 22 Grand Slams.}
Serena will go down in history as a GOAT. There have been very few GOATs, or undisputed Greatest of All Times; MJ. Tiger. Gretzky. Federer. Pele. None of the people named in the top post are even going to be anything other than a footnote on the pages of history, except LeBron and possibly Steph, depending on how the rest of his still young career pans out.
But Serena is well-nigh unmatched in her dominance. She has no equal in her sport. She pushed the standards of women’s tennis sky-high and, along with her sister, brought forth a golden-age in the excellence and marketability of tennis as a whole due to their unique playing style, charisma, and pure talent. Back when men’s tennis was stale and boring (once Sampras/Agassi left) she & Venus put butts in the seats. Refer back to the stats from above and add to that the impact on the game/beyond the game that no one but MJ, Tiger, Gretzky, Pele, and the like have done.
She only loses when she loses. No one alive is capable of beating her. She just loses when she loses. She’s already the greatest tennis player of all-time, and she’s not done yet.

I shoulda put a Mayweather disagrees option,,, oh well
-
I believe she's one of them. LeBron is up there. Brady cheating ass is up there, and people will disagree but u have to put Mayweather up there. All great champions. All dominant in their sport. It's a couple more that could be added to the list but these are the ones off the top of my head
-
I'll take Jack's career over Tiger's tho. Longevity, better comp and even if he lost in a major, alot of times he still managed to place in the top 3.
Even Tiger will tell you that Jack is the GOAT.
-
Its tennis bruh but to her credit she is dominating her sport top 20
-
No, but she's the most "dominant"She's the most dominant athlete in any sport right now.
-
as long as serena has her powerful serve she will continue to be dominant. the girls can't catch up to it
-
Kareem stay being disrespected.
But for Serena to be the GOAT, she's gotta catch that record. For now, she's the greatest women's tennis player still active. -

the opening post says MJ is the unquestioned GOAT of basketball. Thats not true. Kareem has a much better NCAA carrer than MJ and and least an equal NBA career.
that is what @mister b is referring to. -
Her and mayweather

Really hard to compare her to athletes in team sports, but she ABSOLUTELY should be mentioned with the likes of Tiger, Ali, etc... She will probably have the most accomplished tennis career of all time, male or female, by the time she's done.

No, but she's the most "dominant"Bruh look what Serena did to Maria Sharapova at the 2012 Olympic Gold medal game ,This was a schooling ,a international ass whipping,Complete total ? , destruction, annihilation. This was so embarrassing that maria was about to cry, it was dismantling of the highest order for the whole world to see.
That look Serena gave maria at 22:15 on this video was like you are about to catch this ass whipping like no other.http://youtu.be/osVIRIw-c74

NoGreatest athlete no. Greatest tennis player, absolutely yes.
-
Maybeshe in the mix...and she gets that grand slam then she'll go down as the best tennis player male or female
-
Greatest female tennis player of all time, yes, greatest tennis player of all time, no. To say that means you think she could beat some of the all time great men, and I don't think she could.
-
She has an argument. Top 5 right now for me. In no order Serena, money, Bron, Brady are all up there.

We're arguing whether or not if she's the greatest athlete of this era compared to her competition in terms of consistently winning, dominance, and other relative factors.
The gender ? is a whole separate subject that has absolutely NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS SUBJECT. -
Serena more than likely will win (right now, she's up 5-2, leading a set), and she's commanding this match just like all the others. However, she's making this ? harder than it has to be.
-
MaybeRonda Rousey should get an honorable mention
-
That ended weird, like everyone thought that last shot was still in.
Serena powered through it. -
