During their interview with The Hollywood Reporter for their N.W.A. biopic, Straight Outta Compton, Dr. Dre and Ice Cube were asked to name their hip-hop “heir apparent.”
“There’s a lot of great MCs out there that can tell stories," Ice Cube told The Hollywood Reporter. "Kendrick Lamar is dope. Nas: that’s off-the-chain story-telling.”
Dr. Dre followed up saying, “Of course I would agree with Cube and say Kendrick Lamar, definitely Eminem. Again, I agree with Cube and would say Nas. Nas is one of my favorites.”
