I looked for early premiers in my area soon as the video ended -
Eh....freepost.

I might actually have to go see this. It looks dope.

So what's the purpose of the other Jungle Book film coming next year with Andy Serkis and Christian Bale?
-
I see one is made by Disney and the other by Andy Serkis and them. The story is public domain.
Both have a stellar cast. Just weird they're coming out within a year of each other. -
shere khan = black excellence

One is Disney, one is not. Kipling's books have became public domain which is why Serkis is adapting the material also, but they can't include the songs from the Disney version and it's expected to be a lot more in line with the actual book which is surprisingly brutal at points. So this movie is likely to be more palatable for the whole family while Serkis' version is likely to be a little more realistic and darker with a more mature edge.
I doubt it's going to be more "realistic". It's about talking animals. Anyway, both films look like they're going to be great. -
My nephew told me a few weeks ago that he has never been to the movies.
Gonna take him with us when it comes out. This will be a great first movie experience for him. -

I paid £16 for 2 IMAX tickets in the Gallery at the Odeon for BVS. If you're from the UK you'll know that's cheap as ? !

The movie is on point.
Shere Khan is a ruthless SOB -
Great movie

So it sounds like the 3D is a must because it's native 3D and not a post conversion. First movie to be shot with the 3D rig tech Cameron invented for Avatar since...Avatar.

I had a hell of a great time watching this. Bill Murray had me roll'n and Shere Khan was a beast. Props to Lupita also, fine sexy wolf!!! Walkens was great too!
-
Dope movie!!! Had a lot of feeling and heart. The actor playing Mowgli did his thing. All of the main animal characters were on point. My kids and I busted out laughing when Mowgli was about to run up on Khan with the other wolves! Dude bared his teeth and growled like a wolf, we were dying, lol!

Loved this movie

If my 3 y/o was a little older I would have taken her to see it, but that child is not yet at the point where she sits down through a whole movie. Her ass would be running up front trying to touch the screen.
