“Every twenty-third spring for twenty three days it gets to…eat.”
It looks as if the long-gestured Jeepers Creepers 3 could begin filming early next year.
? Disgusting has learned that Myriad Pictures will finance and handle international sales for Jeepers Creepers 3, the long-awaited third installment in the iconic worldwide hit horror franchise.
The project reunites the original creative team behind the first two films, including writer-director Victor Salva (Powder, Peaceful Warrior), who helmed the first two Jeepers Creepers films.
Jonathan Breck is confirmed to return as The Creeper, with Brandon Smith as Sergeant Davis Tubbs.
“Jeepers Creepers 3 will show events on the last day of the Creeper’s twenty-three day feeding frenzy, as the skeptical Sergent Tubbs teams up with a task force hellbent on destroying the Creeper for good. The Creeper fights back in gory glory as its enemies grow closer than ever before to learning the secret of its dark origins.”
“Writing and directing a new Jeepers film, the first in over a decade, is incredibly exciting,” said director Victor Salva. “For me and I believe for Jeepers fans all over the world that have been asking for more.
“What will go before cameras as Jeepers Creepers 3 is a new and terrifying chapter from the Jeepers universe. We are bringing back the Creeper’s truck, and will be addressing the big questions about The Creeper: what it is, where it came from and why it does what it does.
“More exciting though, this will easily be the most frightening rollercoaster -ride -of- a-Jeepers film that has been made to date.”
This is huge news for fans of creature features as it’s been way too long since we’ve had a solid entry. Jeepers Creepers was a game-changer when it was released in 2001 as it marked the return of the creature feature to theaters, ending the run of 90’s trash that Scream ignited. It lead the way for successful releases of films such as Cabin Fever, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Saw and even Freddy vs Jason. Jeepers Creepers deserves a conclusion.
Some additional info: Francis Ford Coppola’s American Zoetrope, who produced the first two films, will co-produce the film along with Kirk Shaw and Surai Gohill’s Odyssey Media, and Stan Spry’s The Cartel. Coppola, Shaw and Spry will serve as producers on Jeepers Creepers 3, and Myriad’s Kirk D’Amico will executive produce.
The film is slated to go into production in Vancouver in first quarter of 2016.
The first two films in the franchise, Jeepers Creepers and Jeepers Creepers II, were both global box office hits, grossing over $120 million combined worldwide. The first two films were also hugely popular with genre fans and critics, and horror fans have long clamored for a new installment of The Creeper’s misdeeds.

-
Wonder what town in the middle of nowhere it'll be appearing in now. I also wonder if he'll be back on his crow/batman ? like the second one lol.
-
Gonna be garbage. Origin stories don't work well on the third movie, you either save that for a reboot or something else. But this a franchise and like I said before Hollywood not trying to do original ideas, they think it's "safer" to do sequels instead SMMFH.
I thought this was a sequel with the original director? I hate origin movies. I rather see a character that's already been introduced began a new story. -
I Wana know the orgins tho. That what makes the creeper character intriguing.
-
Wait a minute.
Isnt this the movie that had the director that was a ? or something? -
Good they need to explain this ?

I saw a fan made trailer on my FB that had every body pumped. I'm like ? this trailer had no original scenes, everything was from the first two. Jeepers Creepers: Cathedral.
Glad to hear this tho, Creeper is one of the most original movie monsters in a while. Him and Bagul however you spell his name from Sinister. -
been waiting on this for a minute

they do nothing with the monster except for use him in lame ass jump scares in pictures and video tape.

They under utilize him, but can we agree he's pretty original as far as modern movie monsters go? Lol -
