Heard Keith Murray talking about this the other day, would of been dope to hear this in full HQ quality... This verse was taken off 'Who Shot Ya' and used as an interlude for Mary J's album...

Here's an interview with legendary mixtape legend DJ S&S. For those that don't know, DJ S&S was one of the pioneers of the mixtape game in the early-to-mid 90s. I remember I bought an S&S mixtape in September 1993 that had What's My Name by Snoop on it. This was a full 2 months before his album came out. He speaks on that tape in this interview, it was called Somethin For That Ass part 2.
He also talks about Get Your Swerve On that had the original version of Who Shot Ya that the T/S posted.
Anyway, this interview is a must read for anybody that's interested in mid 90s East Coast New York Hip Hop.
Get Your Swerve On ‘95
“That mixtape shut the game down for like eight months. I had songs that ? couldn’t even ? around with. I had [Method Man and Redman's] ‘How High.’ I had ‘Who Shot Ya’ with Keith Murray’s verse. To this day, no one still has that record*. [Laughs.] You only heard Keith Murray’s verse on the Mary [J. Blige My Life interlude]. But his whole verse wasn’t on there, [it was just a snippet that faded in and out]. I had the full version."

"operation 'radication , murderation (what) , on ya whole staff. Try to find ya way down carlton ave"
He was dope wit it though -
I remember hearing Keith Murray's second album. The beats were dope but he was just making up words and not really saying anything. It got unlistenable about halfway through.

Who Shot Ya appeared on the B-side of the Big Poppa single. That single went platinum.
They re-released Ready to Die in 1995 with Who Shot Ya as a bonus track. But its not the version the T/S posted, its the version with Puff Daddy saying, "95 mutherfuckers/East coast ? " and then Biggie spits another verse.
This is what the album cover looked like;

[Verse 2]
I seen the light excite all the freaks
Stack mad chips, spread love with my peeps
Niggas wanna creep, gotta watch my back
Think the Cognac and indo sack make me slack?
I switches all that, ? sucker G's up
One false move, get Swiss cheesed up
Clip to Tec, respect I demand it
Slip and break the, 11th Commandment
Thou shalt not ? with nor see Poppa
Feel a thousand deaths when I drop ya
I feel for you, like Chaka Khan I'm the don
Pussy when I want, Rolex on the arm
You'll die slow but calm
Recognize my face, so there won't be no mistake
So you know where to tell Jake, lame ?
Brave ? , turned front page ?
Puff Daddy flips daily
I smoke the blunts he sips on the Baileys
On the rocks, tote Glocks at christenings
Hammer ? , in the fire position and...
4 syllable pattern for over 10 bars !!!!!!!!!!! -
Ehhh I like the one without Murray better.
Big got some interesting variations on songs in the crates. I always remember the other version of the Long Kiss Goodnight.
