Highly unlikely that it happens in our lifetime if ever but if it does it will likely involve some conflict the U.S. Government decides to not get involved in that end up causing massive tragedy and maybe even genocide amongst American people.

Won't be caused by the Americans, most likely a European country like Greece or something feeling ostracised and shamed then coming back with a chip on their shoulder and everything to gain.

European Union is still relatively young and trying to create the "United States of Europe" so they're bound to make plenty of mistakes. But I could definitely see the Americans digging their nose into it.

As long as the majority of wage slaves are working in order to support their families and take care of kids it won't happen. Now if the economy implodes it's a different story. People will find ways to justify whatever based on family and/or religious views.

Plausible theory would be due to the (eminent) replacement of the petro dollar which causes a economic down fall in the US and states like texas would like to go Indie than which causes a civil war...

The EU ain't going anywhere, people who believe otherwise have no idea how revolutionaire the Whole open border(free movement of people/work etc) was/is and how it benefits the several nations. There is no going back from that.
remember, u can be a EU member without having the Euro, there can also be a EU without the euro(just like back in the 90s when we were ballin in Holland with the Gulden). But there is no way in hell countries like Holland, Germany, France, Italy would stop forming a EU.
fact is that the EU will only become more powerfull, all the broke countries are tiger nations now, on the rise. Countries like the Czech Rep, Poland, Croatia, Slovenia etc are all coming up...all those countries will be First world within 40 years/one generation. -

The e.u will be gone in the next 50-60 years you cannot have sovereign nations without the power to control their own money for very long and with the rise of nationalist movements all over europe as a reaction of mass islamic immigration the death date of the e.u is only going to be closer.
The weakness of the e.u is political and the strongest economy in the world cannot fix it's problems
